Osteria Da Jerry - Osmate

Osteria classica di Paese, ambiente confortevole, ho pranzato all'aperto. Jerry il titolare, molto simpatico ti mette subito a tuo agio, pranzo a base di pesce. Consigliato. Sono tornato oggi 5 agosto 2022 e confermo che da Jerry si mangia bene e abbondante e si beve meglio!!! Posto tranquillo... ti senti come a casa.

Prezzi convenienti e cucina sincera e deliziosa. Consigliato.

Il cibo è squisito, il servizio molto gentile, assolutamente da provare.

Had never been here, so even on a stinking hot day it was nice to be seated in the little courtyard that made you feel a little like you were on holiday. Both the people serving looked surly and and were pretty short when it came to the service, the dishes were rattled off verbally at quite a pace. I actually just asked for a fresh fish combination which came with a large tender and moist Cod, large prawns and a well cooked Tuna steak with some eggplant. I was well pleased not only with the size of the portion but the quality was delicious. A bit of a smile and maybe a few euros less. Overall a happy day.

Outside there was a sign saying that a two course meal with water wine coffee was only 10eur. When we went in the very abrupt and impolite waiter (the owner) got us ricotta with bread and asked us what type of water and wine we want. He then started mentioning a few dishes without providing the menu so we thought that as mentioned on the sign outside these drinks and dishes were all included in the price but when we asked him if he had some sort of menu he said that the offer outside was not valid. We took fish. It was all frozen not fresh and very tidy portion served with very few potatoes that had been reheated several times. As for the dessert we asked what he had gluten free and before accepting to take it he got the dessert he had with cream on our table so we had no choice but accept it. At the end when we asked for the bill he added a service charge which was not mentioned anywhere in the menu and all the drinks we thought were complementary based on how it was presented to us. The owner was really rude when we complained. Never will I go again. Not recommended at all.
