The food at this restaurant was delicious! The side dishes were great and we enjoyed trying a variety of options. The main course could use a little improvement. I ordered the fish of the day, halibut (kveite), which was a bit dry, but the kalktasse sauce was delicious. The service was excellent, with a very attentive waitress who provided helpful recommendations and tips. She even brought extra kimchi for one of our party who loved it. We had made a reservation for a Friday night a few weeks in advance during the busy julebordsesong season, so the restaurant was quite crowded. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than planned due to the cold and noisy environment. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, despite the challenging circumstances.

The biggest letdown among the restaurants I visited in Oslo (and there were many) was the one where it took nearly an hour to receive our food, despite there being few customers when we arrived. When the main fish dish finally arrived, it was completely dry. While the flavor was decent, I expected more than an overcooked fish after waiting an hour in a lovely restaurant. We voiced our complaints, which I rarely do, and they kindly offered to remake the dish and expedite its preparation. After an additional 30-minute wait, we were served the worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. It was so tough that it was nearly impossible to chew, resembling rubber. The waitress refused to acknowledge any issue with the dish, even when I struggled to cut through it with my knife. A diner at the neighboring table confirmed having a similar experience on a previous visit, but it did not prevent us from leaving hungry and thoroughly disappointed. We ended up having a much more satisfying meal at 7-Eleven that night.
