The Kurdish restaurant in storgata serves Kurdish, Iraqi and Norwegian cuisine. the schish kebabs with rice after the cooking recommendation and found it quite delicious. the environment was in order, but the service was very moderate. I was the first to enter the day and was literally ignored for 5 to 10 minutes by the cook and the waiter who chat further before he sat and gave a menu.
Where do I start? I and my wife visited this week oslo when we decided to taste an Iraqi food as we originally came from the Iraq and wanted to taste some of our food, as we have heard that it is so (or too) many of us in oslo! we came to the restaurant to find us like lemons in the center of the restaurant with three tables occupied, with one of those who enjoyed cooking to be dinner while we stared him and 2 damen sat on the same table that later that the owners of this facility. the chef finally decided to leave his lunch alone and show us on our tables while we grab the menus and literally ask us to wear them to our tables. we ordered suppe, chips and humus to begin and drink 2 main dishes and arbil famous yogurt. the suppe took old and was served cold, really cold. the mother came and heated it for us, but took old back, but it was really delicious I must admit. the humus never showed up and I asked to announce it anyway when the net with the chips appeared. the meat was dry and the bill was also crazy
No atmosphere, no music, bad design, un inviting. the lens soup was okay, better than average, but overall I would not recommend the place for a beautiful evening.
Kurdish restaurant in Storgata serving Kurdish, Iraqi and Norwegian cuisine. Tried the shish kebabs with rice as per the chefs recommendation and found it to be quite tasty. Ambience was alright but the service was mediocre at best. I walked in as their first customer of the day and was literally ignored for 5 to 10 minutes by the chef and the waiter who continued chatting before being seated and given a menu.
Where do I start!? So I and my wife were visiting Oslo this week when we decided to try some Iraqi food, since we are originally from Iraq and wanted to try some of our food as we heard that there are so (or too) many of us residing in Oslo! We entered the restaurant to find ourselves standing like lemons in the middle of the restaurant with three tables occupied, with one of which the chef was enjoying his dinner while we stared at him and 2 ladies sat at the same table who later turned out to be the owners of this establishment. The chef finally decided to leave his food alone and show us to our tables while grabbing the menus and literally asking us to carry them to our tables . We ordered soup, chips and humus to start with and 2 main dishes and Arbil famous Yoghurt drink. The soup took ages and was served cold, really cold. The lady came and reheated it for us but took ages to come back but it was really delicious I must admit. The humus never showed up and I asked to cancel it anyway by the time the mains had turned up with the chips. The meat was dry and the bill was crazy too
