We had a great dining experience at Arakataka. We did the tasting menu and everything was superb! We thoroughly enjoyed trying all the ingredients and produce that were unique to the region. From the seafood to the mushrooms and the bread with whipped butter, everything was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend going!
Aesthetics, style, flavour, hospitality. My personal Oslo’s favourite bistrot. Great job. Keep it up!
Perhaps the best meal I had in 10 days in Norway. Genuinely excellent service and dishes using local ingredients and referencing traditional Norwegian cooking. We are pescatarian and don’t eat shellfish, and there was plenty to eat- and our servers accommodated our subtractions very happily. The menu will recommend ordering 4 dishes per person; the dishes aren’t large, but we split 3 in total between the two of us and it was plenty. Beautiful decor and ambiance as well. This is the kind of place that feels like it should/maybe soon will? have a Michelin star.
Delicious dinner, great service, just the right about of fuss for good food without being overly gimmicky. Would go back!
My new favourite restaurant! It's rarely I go to a restaurant where there's no dish I felt could be improved somehow. Every dish was pretty close to perfect. We had the tasting menu the pasta with caviar that I've been recommended and it was all amazing. Will definitely come here again and again!
