Coming to Oskaloosa from Texas we were told to try the Maid Rite sandwich. So we stopped on the way out of town. We shared a sandwich between us. The meat was tender with a nice seasoning. For us it reminds us of a sloppy Joe without the sloppy. LOL View all feedback. What Kelli Elswick doesn't like about Maid-rite:
Ps this is not the original lose meat hamburger, like some are saying. The canteen in Ottumwa Iowa is the original and 1000 times better it just didn't become a chain restaurant. Dry over cooked chicken tenders, that we're not even tenders... They gave us small nuggets, didn't put mayo on my grilled chicken and my sandwich was smashed like someone stepped on it.
