Montana's - Oshawa

August 21st 6.30pm It was my Birthday and my Grandson's 21st Birthday. A choice was made to go to Montana's. Never again will we eat there. They had a Beer special flyer on all tables but we were told it wasn't available. Then some of us went to order one of the Brisket dishes only to be told it was available. I ordered the 7oz filet (medium) with bake potato and mixed vegetables. The steak was so over cooked I couldn't cut it, the baked potato was not cooked and rotten in the middle also the veg were raw. They took it away and brought a new dinner. Steak was under cooked this time and still tough to cut and the veggies still raw. The other meals were luck warm and my son tells me he was sick in the night from his meal. The manager came over and said sorry and that I wouldn't have to pay for the my meal but I don't think he was overly concerned. It very a disappointing Birthday dinner for my family of 6. No way would I ever recommend Montana's.

Stopped in whilst in N Oshawa having never eaten at Montana's before. I enjoyed the 10oz steak dinner with a side of 5 wings. Looking across the table at what my girlfriend was eating, I could see myself enjoying that too, in a future visit, because we will be coming back. Drawing on the paper covered table with crayons whilst waiting for dinner was novel. The seating was satisfactory, the atmosphere and arrangements of furnishings was nice. The bathroom clean, the servers good looking.As is my custom, a rating based on what's important to me when dining out. 7.5/10

Montana's is just average compared to all the other good steak house out there. They offer a pretty large menu of BBQ and drinks. Our meals were good, but didn't stand out as anything outstanding. Well drinks were a little on the small side.

We met friends at this restaurant on a Thursday night about 7 pm. We were seated promptly (the restaurant was not full), and our waiter served us immediately. My friend's husband and I have dietary restrictions and the waiter was completely aware of what we could and could not have in the menu, plus he was an engaging young fellow, quite eager to chat and find out more about us. Our food was ordered and delivered to us promptly, and it was delicious. I had the shrimp skewer and grilled chicken with apple butter sauce. Delicious! I enjoyed this meal so much that a week later I was in Mississauga and had the opportunity to visit a Montana's again, which I did, and ordered exactly the same thing. The menu is varied, though, so there is something for everyone, at a middle of the road price.

Went on a Saturday nite. First time at Montanas. The place was very busy even at 8 pm. Tells me the place is popular and they did not disappoint. Steaks were done to perfection. Sides were also good. Service was awesome and the price very fair. Their menu is very extensive so you can choose many items. Atmosphere very family friendly. Would return here again if in the area
