This place is in a strip mall not obvious from the street and it's not fancy but the service was great and breakfast was hearty. Oh, price is right, too like a diner should be. Would stop here again if I'm in the neighbourhood. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Johnny's Burger:
It's true it's cheap. Burger was a patty. Small one too. Basically flavourless. Onion rings and fries were average. Guy making the food was nice. Won't go again. View all feedback.
I don't know why I waited so long to visit this restaurant.
We typically visit Johnny's about once a month. Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, we had the worst burger we've ever had. The patty was overcooked, and it seemed like it was just a bad night.
The food at this restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced! I visited on a Friday night around 9:30 and the restaurant was very busy, with more customers arriving as the night went on. The service was fast and efficient.
In for breakfast.....price and quality is good.......took 25 minutes to get my breakfast and there was only 3 people in the place........went back a few days later to give them another shot...this time for lunch......once again price and food was good (hamburger combo) once again,3 or 4 people there and almost 30 minutes to get food......how hard is it to put a burger on the grill and fries in the fryer? wont be back........one of the slowest cooks ive ever seen......
$7.50 plus tax for a burger combo is a good deal. You get fries or onion rings plus gravy or cole slaw with a pop. I watched the cook rip the burger with tongs while it was on the grill to see if the patty was cooked. That's letting the juice and flavour escape. The patty is oblong and is dwarfed by a large round bun. You get a decent amount of fries (from frozen) that were sadly undercooked and soggy. It wasn't busy so no reason to take them from the fryer so early. Canned gravy was acceptable. I saw someone else order a single order of fries and he got a large foam container (same size for the burger combo) filled with fries so that's a good deal. I had looked forward to this place opening, having eaten at Johnny's on Brock St. in Whitby for many years. They didn't compare on this visit at least. I will give it another try though.
