We had seen the cathedral, were on our way back to highway to Rome, and saw Food Village off the main road. We were SO glad we pulled in. It was an American-type cafeteria/diner, but Italian class. A corner for various delicious pizzas, another counter for real food, another for delicious desserts, one for ice cream, one for specialty takeout. What mavgenova doesn't like about Food Village:
At the exit of the highway it is possible to make a snack in this room quite wide, divided into sweet area and salty area. Anonymous enough as an environment but comfortable with parking in front View all feedback.
RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!! Let’s start with the good things. The location is okay as is on the way to Rome when leaving Orvieto, the restaurant has good light and a nice design and good bread (which is free) The service was very poor, there was 2 ladies in the restaurant and the short one with blonde hair was the one that served me and my family. Her attitude was unpleasant as she didn’t even smiled, spoke or anything... totally disconnected and chatting with a guy behind us in the same time that she was serving us she didn’t explained how they charge the plates etc. Which takes me to my main issue which is the price. €80! Was how much we spent. A family of 4 and a half., We ordered 4 fillets of milanesas (on their own with nothing else), a portion of pasta and 3 salads as additional, 5 drinks and 2 coffees. I found this ridiculous as for that price we been eating extremely good in the CENTER of Orvieto and other cities. Toilets were extremely dirty and there is no big variety of food I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone... seriously save your money and time. There is plenty of restaurants on the way.

Surely it is not a gourmet or starry restaurant, but you do not eat absolutely bad. In fact, compared to the average of the premises of this type, it is almost good. The staff is courteous and helpful, although sometimes they are in few and the customers wait. Prices are in line with the current moment, but you can eat well by spending 15 euros. At least you can only go to fast food. If you want to have lunch with a pizza, here you can do it and spend less. But if you expect luxury food and service at height, you have wrong place and prices. I recommend it.
