Villa Orselina Small Luxury

The dinner of July 31, 2023 on the restaurant terrace at Orselina was a disaster: The gazpacho consisted mainly of finely chopped onions, the fried duck liver was tiny, but totally oversalted. The beef dish was extremely over salted so I had to return it after the first bite. Under the circumstances, it is understandable that there was no salt on the table. The fact that there was no pepper on the table is rather weak. Olive oil was served in a bowl with the bread without being asked. Since I don't like olive oil I asked for butter. Two pieces of rock hard frozen butter were brought to me. Spread on the bread impossible! All this culinary misery culminated in the fact that a closed party celebrated on the unfortunately open terrace. Already disinhibited by enough alcohol at the previous aperitif in the hotel garden, everyone in the party yelled so loudly that one would have preferred to have ordered one's meal to the hotel room on the beautiful terrace. All guests complained to the waiters as well. The waiter shrugged and told me to get up and go to reception to complain. My subsequent request that someone from the management come to my table was ignored. The fact that you have to pay extra for the Egg Benedict at breakfast is a rip off. Conclusion: You can't spend your money worse. Food drinks: The dining experience was so poor that unfortunately it overshadowed the many positives of Villa Orselina.

There is nothing to complain about here, the location is great, the staff is super friendly and the rooms are beautiful. Perfect place high above Locarno. Yes, it has its price, but it's worth every franc. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Gesamthaft ist das Hotel sehr gut, betr. Sauberkeit, Freundlichkeit überall hervorragend! , Kundenorientierung, etc. keine Frage! Das Essen, top volle Aufmerksamkeit, gute Beratung. Es wäre zu 5* passend, wenn alle Lampen im Zimmer Suite ein Upgrade, vielen Dank funktionieren, die Getränke jeweils aufgefüllt, das Telefon einwandfrei funktionieren und Türfallen nicht hängen würden, etc. Kleinigkeiten und Saisonbeginn, wir verstehen aber etwas nervig. Das Wellness ist eher klein gehalten, wohl, weil Villa im Winter geschlossen ist wir verstehen. Finn Sauna funktioniert top, Dampfsauna ... na ja, ... Dafür ein herrliches Aussenbad, Ausblick, Sauberkeit, top ... macht alles wieder wett. Wir werden wieder kommen, keine Frage. UND: auf die konstruktive Kritik hat man positiv reagiert :

Ausgezeichnete Service.. von Empfang bis zu Service Personal. Es ist zu erwähnen dass wir nur für ein Appero in der Villa Orselina waren. Wer weiss.... nächsten mal wahrscheinlich mit Übernachtung. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet
