Nance's Seafood Shanty - Orr's Island

Great find!! The shrimp roll and clam roll were both outstanding. Super fresh, super flavorful and perfectly cooked.

Awesome onion rings and sweet potato fries! Great lemonade too! Wish we could have tried more but it’s cash only.

So cool to see a lobster shack on side of the road. you think you have found the secret place all the locals go for freshness. .Wrong Stay Clear!!! If this place was any good in the past those days are gone. Scallops were rubber and had no Flavor. Shrimp were those tiny tiny ones you get in a can, You literally could not tell them from the lousy batter. Skimpy lobster rolls that did not measure up to even a supermarket roll.

It doesn't get more Maine than this. Classic lobster rolls, french fries and a Moxie soda.

The scallops were about the first fresh I had had-They were good. I’ve now had some in Bar Harbor-The ones from Nance’s were really much much better. You could taste the extra freshness and the batter was thicker.
