Yamas And Grill - Orono

I have to say we were very disappointed with tonight’s dinner. The restaurant had a large party scheduled for 5 pm and we got to the restaurant before the big party. We had a reservation for 10 at 5 pm as well. From start to finish our dinner was 2.5 hours. While the staff was very accommodating with putting up umbrellas to block the sun for outside seating, our table was right next to the dumpsters so we had to deal with flies and the smell on an 80+ degree day. Because we had to deal with the wait and the flies/smell, it skewed our appetites when dinner was served. The food was okay but dealing with the entirety of the dinner plus the awful atmosphere, we won’t be back.

I tend to avoid this establishment because of the personality of the manager, who has an off-putting manner, unless she's serving her favorite local customers. I have no complaints about the wait staff in general, who probably have to deal with her b. s. on a regular basis. The food is good, but I won't get into that because I rarely eat there. I'm neutral on the food but negative on atmosphere and slightly negative on the service.

I order the Chicken Parm every time I am in. It’s one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The recipe is impeccable. The staff always takes good care of me too. Please support this local business. You won’t regret the Chicken Parm either!

Favorite restaurant in Orono! Amazing martinis and entrees. Never had a bad meal here. And the owner is awesome. Also love the music

Great drink deals on certain days, especially Thursdays! Also awesome food served, but atmosphere could definitely be better.
