We ordered baked oysters which had no flavor, and the dishes we received were also accompanied by chips. We decided not to order anything else, but I believe the rest of the menu is good. The waiter was very attractive. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Riptides Raw And Grill:
The missed opportunity of having outdoor seating across the street instead of by the beach is a shame. However, the waiter we had was attentive and personable. It was refreshing to see someone who genuinely loved their job, in contrast to the indifferent hostess. The food and drinks were reasonably priced for beachfront dining and were served in generous portions, all of which were delicious. Overall, a great dining... View all feedback.
So amazing! We got a seat outside, and had some snow crab legs, french fries and gator bites. Everything was hot and crispy, the crab legs were so fresh and sweet tasting. Thank you to our server Austin, who was so personable and let us know that their oysters are from the James River up North! So cool. Will totally come again when I am back in Daytona!
I was so impressed with this place. We’re here for a night and found this place recommended on a foodie forum. When we first arrived we saw there was a line and were told it would be a 30 min wait. We went to the bar for a drink and as soon as she brought my drink the table was already ready for us! I ordered the tuna and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp tacos. His came out absolutely delicious looking. Mine was not as desirable looking and then when I took a bite it was ice cold. I asked our server if it was meant to be this way and he kindly took it and returned about 10 mins after with a much different plate and the tuna was absolutely delicious. I’m not going to remove a star for this because his response and the bounce back was incredible. I got no negative vibes from our amazing server Joey and the fixed plate was beyond delicious.
Everyone had something to choose from on the menu. The food was fantastic from the crab legs, to the shrimp po' boy, to the oysters, to my chicken finger salad (which was huge). The kids loved their crab legs, but they couldn't stop talking about the baked potato being the best baked potato they ever had. We sat on the street side deck where there was live entertainment...very enjoyable and even though we were close we could still talk with each other. The service was great! We will go back!
Good (not great) food. Good service. Overall it was nice but probably would not go back. Apps were good but the mixed grill was a big disappointment. It tasted very good but only 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 scallops. Ultimately there were only 3 skewers. I was expecting a lot more seafood for a $29 cost. All you can eat crab legs cost $99! I realize everything has gone up with inflation but that was also disappointing.
This is a great beach location, although not directly on the beach. The Bacon Shrimp Avocado Wrap and Mahi Sandwich were delicious and a generous portion. For a side, try the Plantain Hash, if you like plantains. Our server, Austin, was prompt and informative (I had to ask about the plantain hash as I was unfamiliar with this). The restaurant in on A1A, and is sometimes noisy from the traffic. Parking is limited; try both sides of the restaurant, but definitely go there.
