You want homemade ice cream at an affordable place go here. Homemade cones and 65 ice creams. If you want a bowl. There is no small medium or large. You get a Styrofoam bowl and one large scoop. Homemade whip cream and a cherry is always free. When we walked in yesterday there was an amazing smell. He was making homemade banana bread for his banana bread sundae. Simply amazing. The owner is so nice and funny. Limited... View all feedback.
What Wayne L doesn't like about Ocean Freeze:
Every time we wanted to go they were closed. William am James, he's beginning to become a joke with my family. I don't ever remember seeing anyone going in and out of place as we drove by it on a daily basis View all feedback.

Best Ice Cream in Ormond Hands down! Unique flavors and atmosphere and lovely owners!
Came at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday and they were closed even though the hours posted on their door said they should be open. Don't know why. Heard they were open on Thursday, so we tried again. This time at 8:30 pm. My two boys go in first, and according to them the woman behind the counter rudely told them to close the door. I'm holding it open for my wife and daughter who are slower to get out of the car. I see my son point to me, so I look through the door to see what the issue is and the woman looks at me, throws her arms above her head like she's upset, and then turns around. Very weird behavior. I go in and try to find something on the menu, which is a complete mess. The woman then points to another menu on the counter, which is also a complete mess. Many flavors covered up with tape, or scratched out with a pen. At the same time I'm wondering how they can keep so many flavors in stock without them getting old, given how small the shop is, with one person working, and apparently not open all the time. To keep product fresh, the product has to move, and I don't see this tiny shop moving through a lot of product given how they operate. I then see the prices. $4 for one scoop in a cup. $6 for one scoop in a waffle cone. At that point I decided I don't want anything. My wife and kids got some. It was described as having a playdough type texture to it. Um, yeah.... that's what ice cream becomes when it's old. All in all, the worst ice cream shop experience I've ever had. If you go and they are closed when they are supposed to be open, consider yourself lucky. You dodged a bullet.
We came here last night and got the coconut almond fudge ice cream, we came here because of the fact it was the only late night ice cream shop around. At night you can't find the place, there is no LED sign on the business and we spent a good amount of time looking for it. Anyways, I just didn't like the service from the old lady there she seemed very shy and not friendly which is kind of strange from someone who works at a ice cream shop. The ice cream was average defiantly not worth the $6 I paid for it. I personally wouldn't care to come back but I would give it a try if you're in the area.
Very rude employee. Told my daughters they had to hurry up because there were 2 people behind us. Will not be back.
