My husband and I were so excited to see a Jewish deli in Ormond Beach. After one bite of a nervy corned beef sandwich and, in my case, one look at the Israeli bowl, and we were finished. The corned beef was tasteless and tough. The Israeli bowl was a pile of mush with a sliced egg floating in it. The hummus and two tomato slices were tasteless. Person who accepted puf phone order was very nice. Also, they don’t carry potato salad and had run put of Syrian bread. Skip Gili’s and make your way down to Pickles. No idea why Gili’s has such high ratings.

My family has been telling me for a long time to go there and I just have not had time. Well, I will have to find time. It was really awesome. Everything from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, it was excellent. Highly recommend. Really great menu that combines wonderful meats and steaks, and handcrafted burgers, yet it has a lot of healthy stuff for vegetarians etc. Great place!!! It is also a block from the beach in Ormond's historic beach district. Plenty of parking too.
