Again haven't been in a long time. I understand it is under renovation at present. Really nice place, it was full of a bit of that old world charm. You know dark wood, excellent bar and good food. Hope it doesn't change. View all feedback.
What John Gaydosh doesn't like about Billy's Tap Room Grill:
Wife and I had dinner on a Saturday night. I had petite filet, meat was somewhat dry and tough. Wife had crab cake. It appeared to be deep fried and burnt. I feel meals were overpriced for the quality and quantity. Bill was over $70 without drinks. View all feedback.

Billy's Tap Room was BY FAR my favorite restaurant...before it closed last fall. I'm anxiously awaiting a re-opening, and hoping they keep the menu the same. My go-to dish was the almond encrusted swordfish with lime honey sauce. My husband enjoyed the froglegs many times as well as beef stroganoff. I miss it.
We ate there last year and absolutely loved it! Such great food!
Been here once before with my gf and loved it, tonight celebrating my 21 yr old son 's Bday I now regret choosing this place. Service by Faith was less then stellar and at this time in the evening with not many tables she was very absent. I had to go to the bar to refresh my own cocktail as my server was incognito! To reiterate how inattentive our server was, the menus remained on our table throughout our ENTIRE visit, despite stacking our dirty dishes on them in hopes Faith would take them, but no luck. Dinner was mediocre tonight, had the special bourbon beef ribs upcharge for asparagus at the cost of $5 and that was a GREAT DISAPPOINMENT one of 6 spears we 're of good size the others were the thinnest I 've ever seen and not appropriate for a restaurant of this stature! The bread was in the oven upon arrival and never came out until much later and only after I had to inquire about it to my waitress, Faith. The breaded mushroom appetizer was meh although I was told it was very good, the frog legs were very good four to a serving and we enjoyed those. The salad was not as good as the previous visit. And the special beef ribs were actually in my opinion not worthy of the cost. Baked potato is awesome as last time but how hard is that to make. I 'm embarrassed to have taken my son there after talking up this place to him. This will not be my first choice the next time I dine out for a quality meal and service.I feel this bad experience could have been avoided had my last server, Patrick been working as he is SO attentive and pleasant and an amazing asset to this restaurant. Sadly I probably won 't be returning if this is the standard of service.
