Antica Trattoria Del Vapore - ORMEA

If we hadn't had a recommendation we wouldn't have found this place. You have to wander down Via Roma in the little town of Ormea and it looks like a bar from the outside. Well, it is also a bar and seems to have a nice wine selection. I had the house wine with pasta and a plate of starters, local cheeses and vegetable pie and some grilled vegetables. My husband got the stoccafisso which is dried fish marinated and mixed with potatoes and olives. It was fantastic definitely a traditional dish that I've never seen in the states. I skipped dessert but the apple pie was homemade. The coffee is excellent and the prices were very reasonable.
