However, was pleasantly surprised with everything. The initial welcome was friendly and we were quickly seated, given our menus and drinks. The service was friendly and efficient and the food came promptly. It was a little bit expensive, but this is generally the case at all restaurants. The food was very tasty and enjoyable. I would eat here again if I fly from Orly.

My plane was delayed and I know that there are no food options past security. Over the years, Paris airport eliminated honest businesses to privilige big companies like the utterly disgusting Paul bakery followed by equally unrecommendable places. Red Hippo is now only food option in Paris Orly's west terminal besides boxed meals.That's how I ended up there. In line with France's persistent culture of obnoxiousness, the wait staff is markedly rude. Again, just like most of French people, they don't believe in personal hygiene. So it's an unhappy cloud of stink that takes your order. Not looking at you, probably never smiled, just mumbling his disapproval that the clients paying his salary are taking more than 5 seconds to pick a meal. Only about 5 tables were taken at this late morning, The drink still took 15 minutes to arrive. The food, of course grossly overpriced just like at any airport, was just disgusting. I obviously was one of the first having lunch:the fries I got were those from the day before, they spent the night in the oil. It was a dark brown soggy mess when it was served to me. The steak was a bad smelling clump of fat and cartilage. I ordered medium rare, but there was not enough meat to check if it was done right. I refused to eat this, and of course to pay for it. They didn't care. Just appalling !!
