Corner Store - Orleans
Corner Store
Description
Located in the heart of Orleans, this vibrant eatery serves as a beloved destination for burrito lovers. While their large burritos and fresh ingredients are highlights, the vegan options leave something to be desired, with limited protein choices and concerns about cross-contamination. Despite these drawbacks, the restaurant is known for its quick service and variety, including delicious breakfast offerings and sweet treats like whoopie pies. Though some diners may seek better vegan alternatives elsewhere, many agree that the flavorful dishes and casual atmosphere make it a worthwhile stop for a tasty, fast meal.

I always come here when my family wants burritos for takeout dinner! Their guacamole is amazing and you can't go wrong with it. I do wish they had more options for vegan protein, such as tofu or Seitan, but their bean burrito is still good. The burritos are also really large!
We decided to visit this restaurant last minute because we were hungry after driving in from NYC and didn't have time to go anywhere else. I ordered a simple vegan burrito that was exactly that: basic. After hearing about the possibility of cross-contamination, I carefully inspected my burrito before eating it to ensure there was no meat or cheese mixed in. Thankfully, it met my standards. While the food was adequate, I'm not sure if I would return since there are more delicious burritos available elsewhere.
I have visited this restaurant often. I am always cautious of places where you order in a line like this one because of the risk of cross-contamination. Despite the fact that the restaurant prominently advertises "Vegan Options" on their door, they lack fully realized vegan choices. They do not provide any vegan protein options other than beans, and all of their vegan burritos are served cold. During my most recent visit, I ordered a bowl and discovered a piece of chicken in it. If you choose to dine here, I would suggest sticking to a bowl instead of a wrap so that you can easily see what you are eating. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant anytime soon, if ever.
Would not recommend for vegans. Plenty of options, but so often I see meat or cheese bits floating in the veggies, beans, rice, and on the boards they use to make the wraps.
Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch. It has the same menu as the Corner Store in Chatham, but has many interiors. It also has more parking spaces, but while beautiful, it does not have the same charm as Chatham. If you are not sure what to visit, check the website for everyone as the specials are different.
