I stopped for the first time for a business meal we were served as princeson returned to family the following week it was no longer quite the same thing too cooked and especially a smell and a taste of sheep much too pronounced but overall it was well
Arriving in front of the restaurant, our group of 10 hesitations to run away: delatable facade on the edge of a quick track bree, clearly not the first fruits of the delicious couscous which we dreamed of. In the end, once the scenery is inside, it is really beautiful and in line with the oriental spirit. and above all, the couscous was good and we had a very good time with friends. I recommend that couscous lovers take a tour, and I recommend that the restaurant invest a few euros in the facade :-)
This evening couscous for a birthday we knew this restaurant very well and it was at least 1 year that we were not back and well what change, the staff not smiling including the manager, the couscous very average and the grapes cooked to the water basta not like before at all, and we took 2 couscous merguez don 6 merguez and supplement of 3 merguez plus 2 couscous Very unhappy. we'll try another couscous restaurant.
We have all done it, gone back to a place where we had a lovely evening an excellent meal and regretted it. Perhaps it was the company, maybe the menu choice but the second time was just not so good. No such regrets with our second visit to L'Orientale, don't be put off by the slightly down-market exterior, or the few negative reviews. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and helpful and, so what if you are the only ones there. Best kept secrets are best kept secret....ah but now I have spoilt the secret by telling you all on Trip Advisor.
Had just arrived in Orleans after a day's driving and wanted somewhere within walking distance of our B&B. Went here on recommendation of our host who knew the chef. He said that the restaurant was more traditional than some restaurants in Morocco. However we were very disappointed. We had a cool reception and there were hardly any other diners and the place lacked atmosphere. Poor starters but reasonable mains (we had the tagines). The service was perfunctory and the cost (Euros 59 for two courses and half a bottle of wine) represented very poor value for money.
