This place is amazing! The cover fee is great for everything you get! All you can play, fun Trivia Tuesdays, Weeb Wednesdays and Nerdy Dirty Bingo every Thursday - not to mention are all free to play! Amazing, the AC is back and it feels great! What User doesn't like about Player 1 Video Game:
This place has gone downhill for me, sorry to say. At least it's a $5 cover charge, but I'd sooner pay more if they actually had their stuff working. It was hot in the building, as if their a/c needed fixing. A lot of the arcade games were out of order, or secretly were malfunctioning because once you started playing you realized the joystick or trigger button were old and not picking up on what you're doing. This place is so cool. We’re from Virginia and have a similar bar/arcade back at home but this place rocks. Giovanni at the bar is awesome and did a fantastic job. If and when we come back, we’ll be back for sure!
Player 1 offers a lively atmosphere and an excellent variety of both classic arcade games and modern titles. The drink menu is impressive, featuring a wide range of alcoholic beverages at great prices, including some unique options. You'll find plenty of craft beers, ciders, and even mead to choose from. The venue also hosts enjoyable trivia nights that add to the fun. There is a cover charge for non-members, but once you're in, all arcade games inside are free to play. Additionally, there are designated areas available for multiplayer gaming with friends.
Staff is great but the games are in some serious need of updating variety wise and maintenance wise(House of the Dead cabinet in the back especially has one gun that's hanging on by a thread) pretty sure the same games that were busted the last time I came a couple years back were still out of order.
Kids can go before 8pm so my son and I had about an hour and half to check out everything. We had a good time and we played almost everything. A few machines were broken but they are older so understandable. We didn't take advantage of the console games though. I didn't drink so didn't get a good feel for service or selection at the bar. Overall I think it is a fun place and I'd like to go back with friends my age that really enjoyed that era of game.
Incredible service, a wonderful atmosphere, and an excellent selection of meads, beers, sours, rice wines, and wines. If you appreciate quality beverages and enjoyable games, this is the perfect place for you!
