We loved the free bread that came with the meal, it was hot when it arrived. The margherita flatbread was just okay. My friend and I ordered a dish to share and we were really appreciative when it came separated into two different dishes for us. We really enjoyed the shrimp campanelle, it was really cheesy! My friend also really enjoyed the Mama's Italian Pasta. They take allergies very, very seriously here, which wa... View all feedback.
What James W doesn't like about Mama Melrose's Italiano:
Very good service and tasty food if you can get seated. We had a large party and reservations but when we arrived we had to break into groups of six to eat. Some were done before others got food. Our server was a very nice lady who was pretty attentive and helped us decide what to eat.I had the gluten free chicken parma. It was good but he chicken was a little rubbery. I have to compliment the gluten free bread, hands... View all feedback.
Good food. I just got two pieces of shrimp in my SHRIMP pasta hmmmmm ? that doesn’t seem quite right? Does it ? I also haven’t eaten that much all day so I’m starving. Excellent waiter tho ? George is the name. Hope he’s doing well
The portion sizes are huge—really huge—and I felt like I was wasting food because they require you to order an appetizer or dessert along with your entree. However, the food itself is delicious and flavorful. Our waitress was a bit eager for us to finish quickly. Overall, I’d rate the food a 5 out of 5.
Very solid experience overall! My boyfriend and I tried the Mama's Italian Pasta w shrimp and the sauce was DELICIOUS! However we also tried some of our group's Chicken Parmesan and it was very basic, which is the only reason I bump my Food rating down to 4. It's also extremely expensive for what it is, I know that it's inside Disney but that's just what I thought.
We had a reservation at this restaurant and waited about 10 minutes after our scheduled time. The atmosphere was fantastic! The food was good—it's not quite on par with what you'd expect at a high-end Italian restaurant, but this is Walt Disney World, and not everyone's taste buds are ready for those complex flavors. We tried the Spaghetti and Meatballs, Chicken Parmesan, and Italian Pasta. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the bread service was also delightful. We really enjoyed our time here; the ambiance is cozy, albeit a little noisy. We plan to return and explore more from the menu.
We ate here on our recent trip to Disney off a friends recommendation. It over all was pretty good. The fried Mozzarella and my steak was really good. The pasta was ok… But! The Tiramisu was phenomenal. We enjoyed it so much it was what made us want to visit again in the future. Overall good solid choice for a sit down dining option.
