Gringos Locos Ucf - Orlando

I 've been in and out of this shop during my university career and the pricing has only gone up while the product has only shrunk. I get that times are hard economically, but it is hardly a happy hour deal to throw $10 at a burrito the size of a cheap frozen one. These used to be at least 2x the size and were a much better deal for us college students. Now, it 's just a solid waste of money. The stuff tastes good, for the most part, but is hardly worth the current fees even during their happy hour.

I used to frequent the UCF location at least once a week with my roommate and it was always solid. However the next year they made a lot of changes which were only for the worse. They stopped actually toasting the chips for the nachos, and the prices went up while the burritos became significantly smaller. What used to be two meals for me became barely enough for one. Burrito was short and very thin in comparison to it was before.

The current staff is better than their last, just make sure to check your order before leaving. Many times in the past I have left disappointed with take out orders.I have been coming here for years and as long as the food is prepared as ordered, then it’s usually great! Their sauces are yummy too, I personally love the limón and XXX.My go to order are some guaco tacos with black beans which are delicious, my partner always gets the double D’s with chicken which are his personal favorite (he does NOT recommend the beef).

Got pork tacos and the drunk nachos. Both could have been more flavorful. Tacos were a little dry. But the nachos were huge, so it seems worth the price. Appreciated that the nachos were layered instead of all the toppings just dumped on a pile of chips. Their fans favorites are probably their best option. Definitely more of a late night snack kind of place, but easy enough for a quick lunch!

Honestly this place has become my favorite taco spot. The staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh. I did see some reviews where people complained about the quality of their food and honestly I can't understand why they'd be complaining unless they ordered online or through Ubereats.. in person is the way to go if you are able to do so. That being said, not everyone likes tacos that aren't 100% authentic.. and if that's the case, why are you going to a place called gringos locos? Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend the chimichanga and the double d's, absolutely delicious and ALWAYS fresh when I get them.
