El Buda - Orlando
El Buda
Description
El Buda, a promising dining destination, has garnered mixed reviews. Patrons excited to indulge in the culinary creations of Chef Treviño have encountered significant obstacles, with many reporting closures despite confirmed reservations. Frustrated diners searching for the restaurant have been met with locked doors and misleading communications.
Conversely, those who have successfully dined there rave about the vibrant atmosphere and exceptional dishes, including the light pork dumplings, flavorful duck nachos, and the town's best short ribs. With a 2-for-1 deal and complimentary appetizers during peak months, El Buda remains a restaurant shrouded in mystery—well worth the hassle, if you can gain access.

Situated just behind Hamburger Mary, this restaurant has a fantastic location. We've heard amazing things about El Buda, so we couldn't resist trying it out. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. Chef Treviño makes his way around to visit each table, showing great hospitality and treating diners to complimentary appetizers. The pork dumplings and duck nachos were absolutely spot on—perfectly balanced and surprisingly light. I followed up with the grouper ceviche, which featured plenty of fresh, local Atlantic grouper without being heavy. The short ribs are truly the best in town. From November to December, they offer a 2-for-1 deal, along with free appetizers every night. Be sure to make your reservations online—you won't want to miss this gem! It's simply the best!
I arrived at the restaurant only to find it closed. I called the restaurant's number, but all I got was a disconnected message. I was really looking forward to our evening out, but we ended up having to find another place to eat before the concert.
The security guard at the building informed us that the restaurant has been closed for more than three months, and he mentioned that there are several attempts each night to access the closed establishment. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different place to eat—anywhere but here.
