However, many diners noted slow service, particularly during busy times like New Year's Eve, leading to frustrations over timing and responsiveness. While some appreciate the fresh ingredients and flavor-packed dishes, others felt the ambiance was dim and uninviting. Reports of mediocre service from hosts and waitstaff suggest room for improvement, despite a few excellent encounters. Overall, Amir’s showcases potential with great food, yet consistency in service remains a critical area to address for a more satisfying dining experience.
I often came here when I lived in the opposite and was happy to dinner there. I can honestly say that I will never be back. it is definitiw under new management. they were only 25% full and waiter didn't come 20 minutes to the table and when he took our order, he wrote nothing down and got so many things wrong. wait for so long and we have accepted everything the waiter from the votes in his head. the food we were served was sub par and far below the average. really a shame that this use is a great place
This is not amura, although it has some of the same menu items. limited escape selection, new name and new facility. the service was a little slow. the people at some of the surrounding tables seemed to have the same problem with slow service. not the best experience overall, but eating was good.
It was in order, but I've been with amura in the last 17 years when I'm the city for the business. I thought the sushi was good, but not as great as before. the server was nice enough, but it was lacking in urgency or standard service levels. manager was very nice and took some of ours, that wasn't what we thought it was. I wouldn't go out of my way.
Hostess seemed put-off that we wanted a table for our reservation, rather than a seat at the bar. 10 minutes before any waitperson noticed us. Another 5 before someone asked for our drink order. They never brought water. Ended up ordering everything at once since we did think we’d be successful if we ordered course-by-course. The sushi and sushimi were okay, the salad was...wet. The teriyaki was about 20% sweeter than usual...very odd. Amura is Definitely off of our local restaurant menu for a while.
Food was amazing! I was pleased to get a valentines day reservation that morning, even though it wasn’t specifically a Valentine’s Day meal. It was our last day in Orlando and we wanted to go out with a bang! Everything was fresh and so delicious! Tuna tartake app was YUM!
