Murphy's On The Green - Orland Park

This is an intimate bar and restaurant. We've been here several times. Recently we had the 2 for $25.00 filet, choice of potato and green bean vegetable. It was very reasonably priced and a great meal. We met some really nice folks from the community and stayed awhile to listen to the band. We will definitely be returning. Very nice bar to go to before the game. Get there early it does fill up quick. Had a couple beers before the game. Looks kind of old and run down from the outside but lots of cubs memorbilia on the inside.

I attended my aunt's wedding reception at this venue, and I must say the atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious, although it took a bit longer to arrive than I had anticipated. However, I didn't mind too much. The service staff were very friendly and even provided chicken strips early for the hungry kids, which was a nice touch.

Our only criticisms would be that the woman with silver hair behind the bar seemed to be having a rough day, and the slot players were quite rowdy. It’s just slots, folks—maybe keep the volume down? It was a bit uncomfortable to overhear conversations about escorts and infidelity. Just to clarify, while I don’t know if any of them actually acted on those thoughts, they definitely talked about it for a while. Good luck with that!

We all opted for the special: two filet dinners for $25 that came with a potato and a vegetable. We also ordered a flatbread appetizer, and some of us enjoyed soup or salad. The drinks were great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. One thing that stood out was how easy it was to hear each other talk, even when the restaurant was busy! We had such a good time that we stopped by the bar on our way out for one last drink. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I would definitely return. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to expand their selection of imported beers. Treat yourself and support this new small business! Murphys definitely deserves a thumbs up!
