What Synman likes about The Shore:
We had a very nice meal here. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but there's something not quite right with the menu. It seems a bit unexciting and limited. But still a good option for a visit. I'd go again. View all feedback. What JaneWindermere doesn't like about The Shore:
We both had the monkfish wrapped in parma ham etc and whilst it was ok i have to say the fish was very overcooked.I also had a lemon tart for sweet but that was very ordinary. Its a nice place to sit and the staff are attentive. I cant judge anything else really but would not rush back. View all feedback.

read moreThe Shore restaurant in Kirkwall offers a cozy atmosphere with great service. While some found the food to be ordinary or slightly overcooked, the majority raved about the delicious dishes and creative menu. The set up of waiting in a small bar before being escorted to the dining room was quirky but effective. The breakfast was simple but tasty, while the dinner was described as amazing and the best of the trip for many. The friendly staff and intimate setting make Shore a highly recommended choice for a memorable dining experience in Orkney.
The service was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. I would give the rooms a 5 out of 5, the service a 5 out of 5, and the location a 5 out of 5.
