They mentioned having a dedicated fryer, but when I asked for confirmation, it turned out they didn’t. I ordered a rice bowl that came with crispy noodles on top, and when I inquired about it, they said they would check. It turned out my order was incorrect, so they had to remake it. As a result, the rest of my party finished their meals before I was served.

I really ap... read more I have to be very careful about where I dine due to a rare anaphylactic allergy State and Main always goes above and beyond to make me feel at ease. I really appreciate that they are always willing to share their allergy book, and their manager Cindyalways checks in on our table and is especially diligent at checking ingredients. The kitchen staff is also super careful duringprep. As a former bartender and server, I am highly critical of the hospitality and service industry since I've worked atvarious steakhouses. The food at State and Main is always delicious and the staff is always positive and welcoming. Therestaurant maintains a very high level of cleanliness and it is one of our first choices when we dine out. I would recommendState and Main to anyone looking for a great place to eat and enjoy time out when they are in the area.

I have a severe peanu... read more Went out for dinner here for the first time with my girlfriend. Our wonderful servers (Josie and Emily) were extremely kind and attentive! I have a severe peanut and nut allergy most times I go to a restaurant and the immediate response is we can 'tguarantee anything , but our servers here were quick to check with the cooking staff to make sure my food was safe for me toeat. Excellent service. Also, the food was positively delicious, and the atmosphere in here is to die for. Couldn 't recommend abetter restaurant to eat at if you happen to be in Orillia. Thanks State Main for a delicious date night!
