Got coffee while trying to look at the menu and the cream has gone bad. That was the tipping point, no chance I'm risking eating in this place!

They advertise for their burgers in the hotel room, so I... read more Got in late to the Highwayman and we wanted a bite to eat so we walked over to the restaurant attached. They advertise for their burgers in the hotel room, so I got one expecting it was homemade beef patty, but it was just a frozen patty, greasy, nothing special. The good thing was it was Open mic-entertainment was more enjoyable than the food.

On our way home from cottage country we stopped in to McCabes for breakfast and found out there was a buffet (instead of their menu) which had everything I want... read more On our way home from cottage country we stopped in to McCabes for breakfast and found out there was a buffet (instead of their menu) which had everything I wanted and more (not as extensive as their Sunday brunch but still a nice selection). The waitress said we could order eggs any style if we didn't want the scrambled in the buffet. My husband didn't fancy the buffet so asked if they could do him some eggs benedict and the waitress who was excellent and attentive said certainly and when he received them they were excellent, wish I'd ordered the same but the buffet was delicious too. Looking forward to going back real soon. Really good value, great food and excellent service.
