We stayed at the Mariposa Inn and this is the restaurant inside the hotel. We had breakfast. Very good. Large portions for a good price. Will eat here again tomorrow. ????????????
On returning to the Grape and Olive we were not disappointed. We will visit here often whenever we are in town
We selected from the 3 course special. The stir-fry was yummy, whitefish in a cream sauce- delicious..... Cheesecake dessert, only ok.
The photos are charming, but the food and service leave much to be desired. This restaurant is typical of a lower-end hotel, attached to a Best Western. It is suitable if you prefer to stay in for a meal, but it is recommended to explore nearby dining options for a better experience.
Absolutely the best place in town for brunch. Great selection, fresh fruit, salads, made to order omelettes, prime rib. The kids love the all you can eat buffet
The restaurant located in the Mariposa Inn is a mixed bag according to recent reviews. While some guests enjoyed the breakfast, finding it delicious and good value for money, others were less impressed with the overall experience. The ambiance, friendly staff, and variety of options were highlighted by some patrons, especially during special events like Barrielicious. However, inconsistent quality of food and service was mentioned by others. In conclusion, if you're looking for a convenient place to dine in the area, this restaurant may do the trick, but for a more memorable experience, exploring other dining options nearby is advised.

I went to Grape and Olive with my girlfriend's mother for a nice dinner. Unfortunately, we were yelled at and asked to leave while using the disabled toilets. We hadn't even finished our drinks. I am very disappointed with the staff here and will not be returning. Goodbye!
I took my family here for Easter Brunch after having such wonderful experiences here in the past (albeit probably 5 or so years ago). Brunch was $45pp which I thought was pricey but the restaurant’s ambiance was nice and I remembered the food being amazing. Not so this time. There were 10 of us and when we arrived I was disappointed to be seated, not in the restaurant, but in one of the hotel conference rooms. It felt like a rotary club meeting. The massive tables had centrepieces from the dollar store. That aside, I was hopeful for the food. We had 1pm reservations and the food was TERRIBLE. The Eggs Benedict were hard as rocks and the hollandaise dried up. They had been sitting so long that the English muffins were literally crusted to the chafing dish. I asked for fresh ones and was brought another full chafing dish of eggs in the same condition. They had to have been under the warming lamp for hours. The Mac and cheese and rotini fell to the same fate of being way overdone. Both pasta dishes were mush yet another victim of hours under heat lamps. The bacon was hard and dried out. The desserts, from a box. The only saving grace was our server David who was a doll. We never said anything while we were there as my family and I were all together to enjoy ourselves. I tried to email them first but their website is ‘under construction’ and I never leave bad reviews but our bill was over $600 with tip and I was embarrassed for suggesting this place to my family. None of us will be coming back to The Grape and Olive again. I’d leave no stars if I could.
We had the calamari and French onion soup for appetizers. Calamari was ok but the portion size is small for the price. The French onion soup had no onions in it and just tasted like beef broth. I had the butter chicken and my husband had the chicken parmesan. The butter chicken sauce was clearly from a bottle, the chicken very dry and they must have put an entire cup of peas in with my rice, there was far more peas than actual rice, my naan was grilled on a very dirty grill because I could taste dirty smoke on it like there was an oil fire. The chicken from my husbands dish was cooked before hand and just heated up because the chicken was dryer than a boot. It’s clear that this restaurant cuts corners and it shows in the quality of their food. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
This restaurant was totally lovely.. it is my Birthday Weekend so my fabulous husband has been wineing and dining me all weekend. We picked this restaurant off of trip advisor because we are not from Orillia (Bracebridge) .. this did not disappoint.. we were allowed valentines menu on the 11th and it was fabulous.. our waitress Lindy was so attentive and interactive and all around doll . Food was hot and delicious, service was amazing and I’m going home with homemade truffles.. Fabulous experience. Thank you “Grape Olive “ Marianne Jim
Although I am not a frequent reviewer, I was recommended to visit this restaurant for its delicious food. The chef is relatively new, and I believe they deserve recognition. I ordered a small Caesar salad which was fresh, flavorful, and not overly heavy. The chicken cordon bleu was absolutely wonderful. The grilled vegetables were hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The chicken was nicely browned on the outside and juicy on the inside. Terri, our server, was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

The food is absolutely amazing. The waitresses on the dining side are absolutely fantastic. Customer service is great. Their head chef has been great to deal with and talk to. Can't wait to come back !
Our usual breakfast place was lined up out the door, so we decided to try the Grape and Olive. The food was good, especially the eggs and omelettes that the chef made in front of us. We will definitely be back
Our family of 4 went for my moms birthday dinner. The food was excellent, and Terri was absolutely amazing. She was so personable, and pleasant. After she heard me mention my moms birthday, she went above and beyond and brought some beautiful crème brûlées and made this special moment even more special. Thank you for a great night!

Excellent restaurant and the cook is fully aware of the celiac disease. The staff is fabulous. Some of the best food in Orillia. You have to try the lamb frame.
There were gluten-free options available on the menu. I ordered a pasta dish, but it took a long time to be served. The staff didn't inquire about any allergies, and I started feeling bloated after just a few bites. I believe they cooked my gluten-free pasta in the same water as the regular pasta, instead of using fresh water.
