I enjoyed the cozy feeling of the Provo location more, but the food at both places is great. Definitely the beef/lamb combo over the chicken. Friends were okay, but red cabbage was great. All of us here love it, including several people who have lived in Germany. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rimmels Original German Döner:
It was okay. Two entrees and a fry for over $21. I was hoping for more of a German experience, or at least a little Turkish/German one. The fries tasted like they were from yesterday's batch. The Döner was better than the ones we got in Rome but I would rate it as the worst one I ever got in Germany. We go often. It was too dry. My wife's experience was about the same. It is in a food court, so expect food court food... View all feedback.

It's a little hard to find with Google maps - it's located in the food court in Provo's shopping mall that took us forever to find out. The menu was confusing, so I didn't know that feta was an option (which I was annoyed), but the workers there were super friendly and gave us free pages from feta when we went back to order some. I had no döner since I lived in Germany three years ago, and that was perfect. Try wonderful - about as close to the real thing I could imagine finding in the USA. They also had spaghetti ice cream (ice cream), which I never tried when I lived in Germany and since regretted. So I have to try! A full meal is a bit expensive, but I usually only get the diner anyway, so it's okay.
Very good Döner, Currywurst and German Bratwurst! We had a diner and a sausage for lunch. As a German I can say it was really authentic! The sauerkraut is mild and tastes very good and the German mustard is great. Fortunately, the German sausage is not as fat and salty as the American brats. Very good taste! The staff is very friendly and nice.
This place is the real deal. The meat is perfectly seasoned as in Germany. The family runs super beautiful and offers good service. Very recommended.
Best Döner anywhere! Anytime we are coming through Provo, we stop for a Döner. While I was living in Germany back in the early 70’s, the Döner craze had not yet arrived, but soon thereafter all I heard about Döners was that I had to try one. I’ve since been able to try Döners in Germany, Latvia and Kazakhstan. I consider Rimmel’s to be at least in a tie for first place with a Döner I bought in Latvia. Please try one. I’ve tried both their beef and the lamb Döner; both are delicious. The young owners are from Germany and as kind and inviting as you’ll find. I can’t say enough good about Rimmel’s! You will not regret the experience!
