During the weekdays, the restaurant has a calm atmosphere, making lunch or an early dinner quick and enjoyable. My children had the most delightful experience with a special activity they offer for parties, where they got to make their own pizzas and tour the kitchen. They were absolutely thrilled! The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, even with our little ones who are as young as 2 to 5 years old. I can't wait... View all feedback.
What Carley Dietrich doesn't like about California Pizza Kitchen At University Mall:
Ok, everybody says they wish they could give zero stars, I’m no exception. I ordered a pizza “the works,” paying $26 and waited 45 minutes for the pizza to be ready. What I got doesn’t begin to describe my disappointment. Below are pictures of what I received (pen is for size reference in case you think I might be stretching the truth). I’m appalled that I paid $26 for a pizza the same size you get from Blaze Pizza o... View all feedback.
I'm here to dip my pizza into her Marinara sauce! the sauce is magical in my opinion! the Thai salad also so good! and the Sonoma chicken flat brot!
POSITIVES: During my last visit, I had a free 7 pepperoni from a T Mobile offer. This brick oven baked mini pizza had a great chewy texture, good thickness, and tasty ingredients on top. I couldn't tell what herbs/seasonings were used, but it reminded me of coriander. The server, Whitney was very polite and did her best to stay on top of bringing out complimentary bread and refilling waters as she could. NEGATIVES: I would've given 3 stars based on the wait time alone. I had a table just to myself, and I think I was there for almost 2 hours... for a small pepperoni pizza. I was seated immediately which was great, but it took 30 minutes just to get the complimentary bread and water served. Then another hour or so for the pizza to come out. It wasn't even that busy when I arrived, but steadily got more busy as the evening progressed. Granted there were only 2 waitresses working. PRICE: Expect to pay anywhere from $10 20 per person. You could easily split one large pizza and have some leftovers.
Club pizza is always amazing. The Margareta wasn't as good. I like more tomatoes and the thin crust was a little like a cracker.
Food is alright. Waited about 50 minutes after ordering food to get our main dishes. The appetizer (spinach artichoke dip) is a little too saucy. Was expecting something cheesier and thicker. I got the garlic chicken pizza. Flavor and quality of the dough is great. Service was kind and they were willing to get us a free dessert for having to have to wait so long. Unfortunately, I cannot give them more than 3 stars because food was hit and miss and that wait time was way too long for hardly any people (reason was the dough was frozen but, things should be prepared by 6:00 during a supposedly busy time). Room to improve, but thanks guys!

I’m appalled that I paid $26 for a pizza the same size you get from Blaze Pizza or Dominos for 1/4 the price. This place is an absolute joke! I’ll never give them my business again! Absolute ripoff. I hope this COVID situation buried this business. They have no right to stay open by price gouging. Just goes to show that anything containing “California” in it is just an appendage to the state that’s “The Cancer of the West.”
