My husband really enjoyed the German buffet . I was unfortunate to order the ravioli , it was inedible . Covered in a marzipan type sauce neither of us could bear it . The waitress collected our dishes and it was very clear I had not eaten any of my meal apart from the vegetables. She passed no remark , didn't ask if we wanted anything else desserts etc just rushed the cheque to us as quickly as possible probably before I could explain about the meal. I over heard another waitress say that the ravioli was a very specific taste . I would have appreciated the same heads up .

We visited for the Valentine's prime rib dinner, but my girlfriend opted for the steak and lobster instead. Unfortunately, her steak seemed to be spoiled, as it had a rotten smell and taste. The rest of the food was subpar, reminiscent of what you might find in a nursing home. The decor reflected a similar theme, lacking any charm. I remember the old Manor, and this experience fell far short of that. Overall, it was a disappointing and unpleasant outing.

We just had our wedding at Maxson’s we absolutely loved how open and easy the staff was to work with! We had our ceremony out on the deck our rehearsal in the banquet hall. Both areas were absolutely stunning! We had a Saturday wedding we were able to go in as early as Thursday and set stuff up (since the hall wasn’t being used) which was a huge stress relief for me! They let us be creative in our own ways for decorations, desserts, food menu bar! They served us family style and we had plenty of food to go around it was all delicious with great prices! Staff was there to assist us in anyways we needed while we set up, cleaned up and just about anything we needed or wanted they were more than happy to help us. I 1000/10 recommend Maxson for your wedding or other small event! We had around 80 people and the banquet hall was perfect for that size! With plenty of extra room for dessert, card tables and dancing! For weddings the whole area outside Maxson’s has great places for the photographer’s to take pictures with different scenic views! We got photos on the boat, on the deck, nature views and even a pretty field out front. The banquet hall with the wooden walls, lots of mirrors is also absolutely gorgeous with great lighting that doubled as a room for us girls to get ready in! Definitely will be coming back to Maxson’s for events in the future the dinner cruises make for a great anniversary dinner ?(all photos taken on sight)

It's nice to sit outside along the river. The server was great. The food is.... Not great. The burgers are cooked from frozen, they burnt our mushrooms.
