Howell's - Oregon City
Howell's
Description
This beloved restaurant has long been a staple in Oregon City, celebrated for its charming atmosphere and diverse menu. While many patrons adore its classic offerings—from breakfast burritos to corned beef hash—recent visits have unveiled inconsistencies in food quality and service. Though some diners experienced friendly staff and delicious meals, others lamented dirty tables and less-than-stellar flavors. Despite the mixed feedback, the establishment remains a cherished spot for comfort food and community events, like lively trivia nights. Overall, it’s a nostalgic retreat that occasionally falters but still retains its loyal following.

Feedback
The restaurant has a nostalgic atmosphere and serves classic bar food. The prices are very reasonable.
We've been going to Howell's for a long time. Gotta say it wasn't great today. The staff was not very friendly and completely ignored us the first 10 mins we were there. It'll be a minute before we make the drive over again.
The people were extremely friendly. The floors were covered in leaves. The French toast could have benefitted from some vanilla, but the bacon was delicious!
This is typically one of our favorite restaurants, and we don't mind the occasional wait for service because they are always busy but friendly. However, one of my favorite dishes, the corned beef hash, has been changed by their new cook. It used to be slow-cooked and shredded, mixed with potatoes. Unfortunately, the last time we visited, the corned beef seemed to be canned and had a metallic taste. It was disappointing because the corned beef hash and the Irish Benedict were always my go-to breakfast choices.
