Friendly staff, helped us with some English, served us a nice meal meal visiting le grottes de vallorbe. Not cheap, but very glad for it to be there. Whole family enjoyed it and we would go back. View all feedback.
What AnaMBO doesn't like about du Mont d'Orzeires:
We were seated for 15 minutes before someone give us the menu. We were waiting and waving for the lady to pick up our order for 15 minutes, nothing. So in the end, we left. View all feedback.
Lovely spot for lunch especially in summer when you sit on the big terrace. The food is good but the service can be a bit hit and miss especially when it's busy. Great play area to keep the kids busy and petting zoo across the (busy) road.

If you enjoy buffalo meat, why not. Service is friendly but not very efficient. This restaurant makes money, too bad they don't put money back into service and a little higher standards. For instance, after two PM, no more roesti, and they are delicious. Their (expensive) burger is mediocre and industrial. Too expensive all in all. Will not eat there again.
Had a few nice meals there (good food), but I believe that the prices are a bit too heavy for what it is.
Four of us plus two little children had lunch here, combined with a visit to Jurapark afterwards. The service was friendly and pleasant, but not much good can be said of the rest. The place is rather canteen-like, but the prices are top restaurant level: a bison fillet costs CHF 49! This is served with a commercial out-of-the-packet sauce and mediocre gratin. I had a bison terrine with crudités to start with, which was rather uninteresting. Then a goodly portion of carpaccio of bison. This was actually not bad, although at CHF 46 it 's hardly good value. However on returning home I was violently ill and confined to the bathroom for some little while, a result no doubt of the carpaccio my wife had the terrine and the bison fillet and was OK) or its salad accompaniments and unhygienic kitchen conditions. We had two starters, four main courses, one dessert, a 'pichet ' ½ litre) of very ordinary plonk and two coffees. The total bill for four of us the children did not eat) amounted to CHF 220 which was something of a shock. For a place in the mountains with pretty indifferent cooking this is pretty scandalous. And when I paid the bill I had no idea at that time that I had been poisoned! Never again!
