Sultan Cafe - Oranjestad

I have been dining at Sultan for years with friends and family. When I was still a vegetarian, I always ordered the falafel shawarma with garlic and red sauce. Now that I am vegan, I wish they would make the naan wrap for the shawarma vegan, along with the garlic sauce, because it was the best falafel shawarma I have ever had. I usually opt for the falafel platter now, but it just doesn't compare to the falafel shawarma. Their hummus is my favorite out of all the ones I have tried. I would love to see a full vegan version of the falafel shawarma with the sauces.

The food at this restaurant is really delicious and well-priced. We particularly enjoyed the lentil soup and falafel wrap, which were clearly prepared with care. The portion sizes were also generous. The sangria is also excellent. There are plenty of vegan options available.

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner tonight at the new Palm Beach location. It was conveniently close to where we were staying, and we were pleased to find that the menu was the same as the one at Tarabana, which is also open for lunch. We started with the fattoush, which we didn't find very tasty, but then we enjoyed the vegetarian combo (made vegan at our request) and a delicious vegan dessert (pink water and cardamom coconut caramel) that more than made up for it. The hummus, babaganoush, falafel, and tabbouleh were all flavorful and authentic, and the dessert was generously sized and extremely tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant overall.

This place was not on our radar when we arrived, but it was close to our hotel so that after reading the happy cow reviews we stopped. so glad we made it! the people were so friendly and helpful with our vegan desires. that was spectacular. best babaganoush we ever cost. highly recommended.

Wicked falafel and other arabica style platters. I highly recommend this place for vegetarians ore vegans who go out for dinner with non vegitarians/vegans.
