Lupita's Authentic Mexican - Orangevale

I tried to visit this restaurant today, but when I arrived at 2 PM, it was closed. Additionally, I found that Google has it listed incorrectly; it's shown near Greenback and Folsom Auburn, but it’s actually located on Greenback near Main Street.

Lupita's cooking took me back to meals made by my best friend's mom in high school. The flautas were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, with juicy, tender shredded beef inside. In addition to the beans and rice, the flautas were topped with cream, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Everything was so tasty that I found myself scraping my plate clean! For about $10 per person (before tax and tip), the prices were quite reasonable. With the fresh flavors, authentic atmosphere, and excellent service, dining at Lupita's was an amazing experience, and I would love to return.

The chips and salsa were served quickly, and the salsa was fantastic – a real highlight! The chips were decent, though I would have preferred them warm. I took a chance and ordered Mole, while my companion had a tostada (which was excellent). I found myself stealing bites of his delicious Mole enchilada; it was simply irresistible! As we were leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting Lupita herself, who was a delightful hostess with an intriguing story. This restaurant has been in business for nearly 27 years, and it's easy to see why it has thrived. We will definitely be returning!

The Google directions were misleading, as they suggested turning into the Shell station. However, the restaurant is actually located further west on Greenback.

I had an excellent lunch experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The service was impeccable, also deserving a 5. The atmosphere was inviting and pleasant, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommended!
