What User doesn't like about Fatz Cafe:
My wife, who is from Orangeburg, and I were in town for business, and it's disappointing that the food options in the area aren't better. Regarding the food, I ordered a baked potato, and I must say it was quite tasty. My son enjoyed his burger, but the salad with chicken was just average. The kitchen seemed to be struggling, as the fryer was malfunctioning, resulting in baked French fries instead. The rolls were abo... View all feedback.
We ordered loaded tater tots, but I couldn't tell if the cheese was legitimate. Here's a quick breakdown of what we tried: - **Stew:** It appeared reheated with some gravy slapped on top, and had an odd aftertaste. - **Pulled Pork:** It was doused in barbecue sauce, which masked its actual flavor. - **Mac and Cheese:** Just noodles with the same questionable cheese; even my child didn’t want to eat it. - **Green Beans:** Basic and either old or from a can. - **Broccoli and Cheese:** Overcooked, with that same fake cheese. - **Bush's Baked Beans:** I’m baffled by how they managed to ruin this; you could simply serve it from the can and it would still be better. There’s more I could say, but I’d rather not waste any more time on this restaurant.
Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!

Regarding the food, I ordered a baked potato, and I must say it was quite tasty. My son enjoyed his burger, but the salad with chicken was just average. The kitchen seemed to be struggling, as the fryer was malfunctioning, resulting in baked French fries instead. The rolls were about the size of meatballs, which was unusual. However, our server, Jeremiah, was a highlight of our experience. He was very helpful, attentive, and friendly, which made the visit more enjoyable. Overall, he was the only bright spot of our meal.
I was in South Carolina last weekend, and I absolutely had to indulge in some barbecue. My friend suggested we try FATZ in Orangeburg, and fortunately, it was a truly...
We arrived around 3 PM, so the restaurant was pretty slow. We were promptly seated by a friendly and efficient server. Given the menu options, it's clear this place isn't focused on healthy eating (after all, it's called Fatz), so we decided to indulge and ordered some lunch items that showcased their specialties. The pork chop was freshly cooked and delicious, and the grits were among the best I've ever had. Their sweet potato casserole would make for a fantastic dessert. The portion of popcorn shrimp was quite generous for a lunch serving and they were very enjoyable. The fries weren't as crispy as I prefer, but they were still well-prepared. The cole slaw felt a bit like an afterthought. Although the restaurant is showing some signs of wear and tear, it appeared clean overall. Compared to other fast-food options in the area, I would definitely choose to return here.
