Zest Restaurant and Beer Garden

A friend and I went for a causal meal and was not disappointed! The menu was smartly planned and executed quite well could not fault at all with a non expensive price tag! Thank you chef for the beautiful night!!

Wednesday night our group of 4 were the sole patrons in this eclectically decorated restaurant, so service was very personal, but effective. The food was rated by all as Very Enjoyable. Menu is slim with three of each course. but a good range, and wine choices were well sufficient. Menu changes weekly to suit availability of local produce.

Zest has great food and rustic decor. The menu is small but it has meat, fish and vegetarian options. The gnocchi was really terrific and the squid was excellent. We sat outside in the garden. There are not many places in orange to do this. It was very nice on a hot night. The service was friendly and relaxed. It's not fine dining (thankfully) and much better quality than the pubs in town for about the same price. Worth a visit.

Took my son out for tea on a Thursday night. Wanted something different. We are local. Saw reviews, people saying how great this place is. Can't see why? Thought the menu was lacking and the food was small and overpriced! We were the only two in the restaurant. I was not impressed at all. Won't be back due to expensive menu and un-wow food!

Once again an extraordinary night at Zest, the food was fantastic, the atmosphere provided a fun night. I had the salmon for entree and it was to die for, so fresh and tasty. For main I had the pork belly and it was no where near short of phenomenal. It seems as though the menu changes often which is a shame because it was so delicious but I'm excited to try some new stuff that the chef comes up with. The waitstaff where very helpful and seemed to give all the right advice. The amount of waitstaff was very little but they topped off a great night, my advice to the owner is to hang onto the young man with glasses, and the woman with blonde hair, I know from my own experience it's hard to find great staff. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone and everyone.
