Western Bistro - Orange

I went to this restaurant last week with some friends. The portions were large, but unfortunately, I was the only one in our group of 7 who was unhappy. I should have taken my meal back. I ordered the pork cutlet, which was priced at $27 and was about the size of a small lamb cutlet. It was incredibly overcooked, to the point where I thought the steak knife would break in half. However, the sauce and vegetables were delicious. Despite my negative experience, everyone else in the group was satisfied with their meals.

My husband and I dined at this bistro last Friday because our usual restaurant was closed for Christmas. My husband ordered the cutlets, and although he thought they were a bit pricey at over $20 for three small cutlets, he found them to be quite tasty. I opted for the salt and pepper squid as my main dish, but I regretted my choice as soon as it arrived. The dish consisted of white squid pieces on a salad without any dressing, and all I could taste was fried corn flour with a hint of black pepper. The squid was flavorless and the salad was bland and in need of an Asian dressing. I couldn't bring myself to finish the meal and had to leave most of it uneaten. Despite the crowded bistro, I was disappointed with my meal and have no plans to return.

If you're in search of a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend trying out the Great Westerns Bistro. My partner and I recently had lunch there and were impressed with the friendly service, delicious bistro cuisine, and timely service that ensured we weren't late returning to work.
