I am so deeply disturbed to have to write this review. My elderly parents came here excited to dine in on behalf of my mother’s birthday. I called ahead to let server Genesis know that it is my mother’s birthday, she was the ONLY accommodating staff during their whole experience here. After placing the order, my parents were swiftly packed up and sent out of the restaurant with their order to go, even though their intention was to dine in. I talked to Bryan on the phone who was extremely rude and suggested that I wanted free food when I told him I just wanted some type of compensation for such an ill experience on my parents behalf. I then spoke to Francisco, who kept repeating to me “What’s the problem” insinuating they got their food and should therefore be happy??? I don’t know. Nevertheless, they arrived home disappointed and with a COLD To-go order after spending more than $50 at this place for such a cold and shady experience, I will continue to review elsewhere and make sure everybody in my area knows this diner is no good. I live on Palmyra right around the corner and never had the problem when I came to dine with friends before. How disappointing to treat my ELDERLY parents this way! Ugh.
This is our new spot create customer service great food we used to go to Mimi's restaurant now this is our spot and you don't have to wait long
This little diner sits off the main Chapman Ave drag very close to Old Towne Orange. The vibe is good and the food is great… So why the 3 stars… Easy, service and fees. 1 Star reduced based on very slow service with no real enthusiasm or desire for great customer service. Diners are known for their delicious greasy spoon, red-eye eats served with amazing old school classic diner pleasantries. This location, unfortunately failed there. The second reduction came from the underhanded “ 3% surcharge “ put in VERY FINE print on the 4th… YES, fourth page of the menu… Stating they charge this on the entire check “ to help offset increased labor cost due to new local, state and federal ordinances as well as delivery surcharges from vendors”. Thank God for CA Senate Bill 478.. This will STOP these shady practices from being “hidden” or a surprise to most people in CA. With that being said. Waiting 5 min for a spoon to stir your coffee. Another 6 min before you can eat, because you didn’t get silverware to eat with. Says a lot about a locations service. The food.. GREAT! loved it… But the service and FEES killed the vibe and experience. Not a return visit anytime soon for this restaurant.
Great for kids. Awesome service . The kids food was served in a car Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly
Love Woodys! Good breakfast and lunch. Beer batter fries and onion rings are simply the best. I drive from Whittier to Orange just to come here. Will be going there often and taking the grandkids next time. They will really enjoy the food as well.
