The food and service are great at Green Tomato Grill, but the restaurant isn't what I would call clean. The burger was great, as was the chimichurri melt (and everything else we tried), and the service from the staff was exceptionally good. I just wish the place would get a deep clean, particularly the restroom. Beyond that, it's a great little kitchen. View all feedback.
What JP doesn't like about Green Tomato Grill:
We order from this place frequent for our company weekly meals. It has been going down the drain. Today, most bowls were full of rice, very little beans, a few pieces of chicken and horrible mushy vegetables. The food was tasteless, and lacked presentation. View all feedback.
I live in San Clemente and can’t eat gluten and have been searching for gluten free Belgian waffles since Stacks stopped making them. These guys are SO kind and food is clean and delicious with great prices. None are close but I will travel.. so with the trek!! #grateful
Vegetarian options: There are a number of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options but the menu isn't very clearly labeled what's what for some items.
The waffle is SOOO good! The bread has a nice flavor and the granola cocoa chips levels up the fresh fruit topping. It can also be made vegan. And the vegan breakfast bowl was delicious too.

Nice vegan burger. The metal tables look dirty and service is fast but somehow inattentive. Nice tables outside to use on a sunny day, but very close to road traffic.
