What Francisco A doesn't like about Old Village Inn:
We had dinner at the restaurant and I must say it was disappointing. I really expected more of the so called “house made lobster bisque” with barely any lobster in it and lacking seasoning and salt. Well, also the two main dishes we ordered, raviolis with shrimp and lobster had the same issue: seasoning! We value the menu, the impeccable staff and the ambiance of The Old Village Inn. We appreciate its historic importance and certainly hope the future leadership embraces all that OVI has meant to the community thru charities and partnerships, and doesn't turn it into another cookie cutter establishment. Kudos to OVI!!
Love this place!!! In the winter, this is one of the few places open in Ogunquit. It's a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially when the fire is going. The staff is friendly and the food is always good.
Food was excellent with lots of variety. Service was great. Our only complaint-we both wear hearing aids, so asked for a quiet table. We were seated next to a loud,boisterous group of 8 men which spoiled the lovely atmosphere for us.
Hostess was very personable, sat us right away. We sat near the fireplace in the main dining room so it felt very homey and cozy. Waitress was very attentive and sweet. Food was great!! Always have dinner at least 1 evening when we are up in Ogt!
