This is one of the best restaurants I've ever visited! The food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming; they truly make you feel at home. I decided to try this restaurant based on some decent reviews, but it was a big disappointment. They were out of beef brisket and ribs, and the baked beans and coleslaw tasted like they came from a bulk supplier like Costco. Yummy! This place is great! Old school feel and absolutely good food! The bar-B-que is not pulled. Try a sandwich with the hot Slav or the Bar-B-que plate with Cole Slav, baked beans and frits... You cannot go wrong!!!
Great smoked flavor in the meat. Not your typical BBQ. Cole slaw and hot slaw is the best out there hands down. Wonderful hamburgers. And oh my, the pie!! Get the chocolate or coconut. They are to die for.We have been eating here for years!
While the BBQ is a long served family recipe it may be time to make some changes. No one I've brought to the restaurant, myself included, thinks very highly of the BBQ. Main problem is the way they cut up the pork. Its not pulled like traditional BBQ. However, the rest of the menu is pretty good. That's why we keep going back.
Great service and cool old school look. The ribs were great and the sauce is even better! Wife had the pulled pork sandwich and is was excellent! I will go again for sure!
AWESOME bbq this place has been around since I was a kid and the pie is to die for!
