The food was... read more We had a wonderful family Sunday lunch at Loco with our dog. Gemma and her team offered excellent service, accommodating our furry friend as well. The food was amazing—delicious and served promptly. The nachos were expertly layered with toppings, ensuring every chip was covered. Highly recommended!

We appre... read more My husband and I had a wonderful meal and enjoyed some fantastic mocktail drinks. The staff were amazing, and both the service and food were excellent. We appreciated being able to enjoy the music while still having a conversation in the inviting atmosphere. A big thank you to the chefs and the front of house team. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return for a meal the next time we’re in Whangarei. Best wishes to you all!

The staff were incredibly friendly, and they offered a nice selection of drinks and delicious food. I was particularly impressed by their excellent range of chili sauces—there were so many to choose from! Ollie was a fantastic host. I highly recommend Loco for a relaxed meal and drinks.

She informed me that everything cooked in the fryer is gluten-free until someone orders churros, which leads to cross-contamination, so items like fries are not marked as gluten-free on the menu. I ordered a mushroom quesadilla and tofu tacos, and the staff acknowledged my celiac disease and confirmed my order again when they served the food. I also enjoyed a delicious gluten-free apple crumble cider.
