Lahey's Pub Portage Point Cafe

The food it's amazing. Very charming. You can seat inside or outside. Outside you can enjoy the beautiful view of Portage Lake. Open from around Memorial Day until Labor Day. There is a playground you can see while you seat at the porch.

Portage Point Resort cancelled our reservation with 2 days notice. In January, we booked a week over the 4th of July. We were called 2 days before our check-in to let us know that our reservation was cancelled. The management offered to help us find off-site accommodations, however after not returning our phone calls we noticed that our fees had been refunded. We've had two previously successful trips to Portage Point Resort. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The restaurant offers simple sandwiches, snacks, and pizza. It's located within a charming old resort, making it a worthwhile stop for a quick cocktail and a light bite.

We had an amazing vacation! There was something for everyone, and the location couldn't be better. I highly recommend it. We stayed in a lakeside pavilion with stunning views, and from our balcony, we could see the pool, playground, and fire pit area. The infinity pool and small beach were fantastic, and if the lake conditions are right, there's a lovely beach just down the road on Lake Michigan. The water was crystal clear, and everything was simply beautiful. There are plenty of nearby day trip options, as well as numerous hiking trails right from the resort. Overall, I give it a perfect 10/10!
