There were no vegan options available when we visited this restaurant. It seems like they have removed all vegan dishes from their menu.

In a city with many vegan options, this wouldn't be my top choice, but it was decent given the location. I opted for the pawpaw salad with tofu instead of prawns and a fresh juice. However, at $36, I didn't feel like it was worth the price for just being okay.

I really enjoyed my tamarind tofu salad. It had a variety of flavors, with a sweet taste complemented by hints of chili and mint. None of the flavors overwhelmed the other. I also added a side of avocado to my dish, which is a must for avocado lovers.

I enjoy dining at this restaurant, but I have to be strategic about when I come because it tends to be crowded.

Mr. T's is located on Onehunga Mall Road, next to DressMart. It may be easy to overlook due to the lack of a sign by the sidewalk, but there is a board featuring Banh Mi that indicates its presence. The cabinet was not fully stocked when I arrived for lunch, but they do have a menu available. I placed my order at the counter and found a table, although it appears they also offer table service. The cafe offers seating options including a large bench at the back, as well as tables both inside and outside. Despite being crowded when I visited, I tried the prawn and pork bun cha and found it delicious. The meatballs were flavorful and had a great texture, especially when paired with the nuoc cham dressing. It seemed like everyone was enjoying the pho, which I will have to try next time. They may also offer tasty pastries, though it seems more suited for breakfast. Overall, Mr. T's is a great choice for delicious food in Onehunga.
