We're tried many fish and chip shops while staying on the island and unfortunately this isn't among the best, but only just. The chips were absolutely top class and the batter to fish ratio was excellent. What User doesn't like about Port Jack Chippy Diner:
Plenty of parking on the main and side road for up to two hours. I’ve added photos of the eat in menu, the regular cod, chips and mushy peas and the building and view from over the road. Orders are placed at the till and paid for at time of ordering. You need to collect your own cutlery, napkins and tartare sauce and other condiments. Salt, pepper and vinegar are on each table. Good fish and chips shop. At least once on the island of Man. It is great for the whole family and it is reasonably expensive. The usual on the menu in this type or restaurant. The staff is friendly. The view of the sea is great on the day. It is nice to park near the Gaiety Theatre and go all the way back to help digestion!
Nice chippy good food, can be very busy at times which proves the food is good. Staff helpful would recommend. Just across the road are some benches where you can sit and eat, the views are lovely on a nice day. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare if all the spaces across the road are full .
Always consistent and the haddock made fresh to order for takeaway. Location is excellent, nice views, recommend to dine in. However parking can be problematic in busy times.
Lovely cafe, very busy and staff efficient and pleasant. 2nd time here so far and only arrived from Heysham I Friday (today is Monday) We'll be back for another meal before we return home.
What a lovely place...busy, but the staff and the manager were really nice and took the time to be extra nice...makes a big difference in todays world...the free mozzerella sticks and dip went down a treat...thankyou...Sue
