although regular visitors of the restaurant this evening was our first attempt on the buffet option, which initially seemed to be a small selection of options for starter and net, highly recommended! View all feedback.
What Lisa Clarke doesn't like about Gandhi:
I really enjoy this restaurant, but I’ve noticed that the portion sizes have become quite small. In the picture, you can see what is supposed to be a full order of Chicken Madras, but the tub is only half full, mostly filled with sauce and just five pieces of chicken. View all feedback.
My favorite Indian restaurant. The staff is great and the food is always excellent whether it will take in or with. Great views from the restaurant on the onchan head, although parking in the area can be difficult, so car share if you are in a large group. You have no license for alcohol, so take yourself!
Nice food, great service. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend definate
Great curry, great service, what more could you want. Nice to be a little bit out of town too.
Adequate car parking and easy access inside. The Restaurant has superb views across the bay. With it being a winters evening we could not appreciate them this time. We arrived having booked for 6.30am. It was winter and we preferred to reduce the risk travelling. Just ourselves and another couple were seated during the next 90 minutes in an enormous seating area. Gandhi's were taking lots of calls for takeway though. Please note they are not licensed. Its bring your own. They charged £4 corkage. They do offer soft drinks and non alcoholic beer and wine. I prefer a traditional curry both modern and traditional are available. We started with. 4 popadoms £1.50 each 5 pickles including the onion. These were perfect. We chose a shared mixed starter from the many options at £12.95. This too went down a treat. Two of each item. For the main course we both went Tradional. The wife for dopiaza and a chicken jalfrezi for me. She devoured hers. Mine was low on chicken enough just but you may prefer more meat. Having said that the dopiaza was £9.95 and the jalfrezi £12.95? So understandle perhaps. The food was served perfectly and hot. The curry consistency was a little sloppy for my taste but still good to eat and enjoy. To accompany we had pilau rice. We cut to one rather than two as usually one is enough for two. Here you may want to order two as it is a small dish. Two chappatis as well £3.50 each were perfect. No chappatis and I may not go its a key thing for me. Served perfectly here. All in all a bill of just under £61 without tip. Good value. The place deserves more custom. You perhaps?
Great atmosphere. Extensive menu. All persons in our group enjoyed their meal choice. Second visit went to Sunday Buffet, great selection of food, good to be able to try various options. Definitely go again
