Every trip to RMNP/Wasagaming must include a stop at TR's for delicious meals served with care. The Italian menu offers a wide selection, making it hard to stray from your favorite dishes. Luckily, you can sample different options from your dining companions. Since the pandemic, they have added partitions for a more intimate dining experience, perfect for those with hearing aids. What Trudie Obol doesn't like about T R McKoy's:
Our waitress Loa was great and sweet, the food was okay, a little over priced, however the run in with the owner left so much to be desired. She was beyond rude. View all feedback.
The restaurant was extremely busy and we sat outside as there were 8 of us. Reservations highly recommended as they were completely booked for dinner inside & only the outside was for walk ups. We still had to wait over 1-1/2hr for a table. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. Pasta plates were in approx $18. The dinner plates (chick parm, salmon etc) were quite a bit more $. The pasta plates had nice varieties. We had the mussels for an appetizer...delicious. We had penne & fettucini plates for dinner. They were also hot and tasty. Seafood seemed fresh and the blended tastes were very nice and not the basic sauces you would make at home. We got a pizza to go, it looked a little better than it tasted. It was very good however, not the best pizza we've ever had.
I love the pizza from here, but there's something for most tastes. Cute Italian restaurant with a lot of charm. After multiple visits I can say that the service and food are consistently good!!
The main attraction is the calamari appetizer, & the strawberry salad. We also tend to sit on the patio (weather permitting). The waiting staff is friendly & helpful.
A charming Italian restaurant style menu with lots of choice. Food is wonderful and the service is by young people well trained and full of enthusiasm! Eating in the worlds largest log theatre building (built about 1933) is by itself worth the visit.
We always look forward to going to TR's as a couple or with friends. It definitely is "THE REAL McCOY!" Excellent food, excellent service, always consistent. Higher end so be prepared to pay a little more .This place is a very popular venue in charming Wasagaming with current chef and front end manager logging 26 years. Great wine list - wide assortment of scrumptious appetizers & mains, including pastas. Be sure to make a reservation or be terribly disappointed!
