Happy's Drive-in - Onamia

This is a fantastic restaurant because there are limited options in Onamia. The service is quick, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. The wild rice soup is particularly outstanding.

A great spot for a family outing. Every fall, when the colorful leaves are at their peak around Mille Lacs, our family would hop in the car and drive to 169 to take in the beautiful views. The highlight of our trip was always stopping at Happy's. The food is served quickly, but it's not your typical fare. If you enjoy the indulgent treats at the State Fair, you'll love the offerings at Happy's. And their ice cream is unbeatable! But Happy's is more than just food. Inside, there's a massive 'Rainbow' game system in a loft, while outside there's a vintage coin-operated Merry Go round and a big swing set. Older kids can enjoy a basketball court and a jukebox. And of course, there are milkshakes, caramel apples, and a twirling slide to top it all off. What more could you ask for!

We only stopped because we were really hungry and in need of a good fast food spot. My family and I were heading south when we decided to try out Happy's for a quick lunch break. Despite the long line at the drive-thru, the service was efficient and the server was friendly, quickly providing us with napkins and ketchup upon request. I made the mistake of forgetting napkins, which made eating my hamburger in traffic quite an interesting experience. I would recommend trying their burgers as they were tasty, although the fries could have used a bit more salt. Overall, a good place to grab a quick meal.

It is obviously a demolition of McDonald's, but the food and service is better. There are 2 play zones. Both are pretty cool. But because of Kovid, the interior is closed. The outdoor playground is really cool. It has 2 carousels to work the 2 quarters cost. The swings and slides are sweet. Basketball court and picnic tables. Eating is really good.

Very convenient location for the drive. Pretty good fast food, and the service was kind and excellent. I'm knocking off a star only because the beef quality has slipped this year in my opinion. It was pretty gristly. Also the fries aren't crinkle cut anymore. Hopefully only a temporary supply chain issue.
